St. Louis MSBL Ejections & Suspensions for the 2006 Season

 

 

The following disciplinary actions (18 in total) were taken during the 2006 season.  This posting is not meant to embarrass or humiliate anyone, but rather to benefit all members (and spectators) of the league by encouraging players to conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner.  Multiple ejections of the same players will result in Board review and possible suspensions.


8/19/06 Saturday, #31 Seggerman from the Monarchs 28 for using the F-word while arguing a strike out called on him in a 14-0 advantage for his team against the Phillies. Fred Renolett ejected him from the game then he came back towards Fred and was restrained by some teammates after he was ejected from the park.


8/17/06 #23 John Murray of Game Face 38 ejected at Ellisville by Umpire Steve Williams for excessive abusive language to umpires and players and subsequently given a 2 game suspension under Article 11.a.2 of the STL MSBL Code of Conduct.


8/15/06 Tuesday, BMAC, Harry Mihas of the St. Louis Phillies, was ejected after the game for cursing at umpires and exhibiting unsportsmanlike conduct. This was his 2nd ejection this season and by 28+ President, Mark Murphy, was suspended for the rest of the season and the playoff's for both Outlaws and Phillies.


8/13/06 The Phillies # 11 Mike Meyer  ejected after called 3rd strike & went back to dugout at Columbia and Smashed his helmet up against the wall. Plate umpire Fred Renolett ejected and asked him to leave the park for attempting to cause damage to non MSBL property.


8/1/06 Bears' #19 VanLear Eckert for repeatedly complaining about balls & strikes (ejected on 5th request to stop). by umpire Paul Lia.


7/23/06 Cobras' #45 John Kaag for repeatedly arguing balls & strikes after being warned by both umpires that it would not be tolerated any longer.


 7/20/06 28+ Rockies' #32 Jon Moody was ejected by Plate Umpire Mike McManus for cursing, throwing his bat and disrespecting an umpire.


7/8/06 21+ Outlaws' #14 Harry Mihaus ejected by Fred Renollet for throwing helmet & bat.


7/7/06 38+ Pirates' #20 Peters ejected by Patrick Hensley for arguing balls & strikes.


6/25/06 38+ Dukes' players # 44 Ron Burleson ejected for unsportsmanlike conduct. # 14 Ron Brasher ejected for disrespecting base ump.


6/7/06 21+ Athletics’ player #9 Jake Rockel for tossing his bat and throwing his helmet after striking out swinging in the bottom of the 4th inning.  Ejected by Rick Tiek


6/6/06 28+ Monarchs' player #9 Chris Kotoucek ejected for unsportsmanlike conduct at SLU vs Bud Light.


6/4/06 38+ Cardinals’ player Eddie Burgos #3 ejected for continuing to throw/kick helmets after being warned by home plate ump Dave Kanesky.


5/25/06 28+ Sharks' player Scott Allen at BMAC stood at the plate looking back at ump after being called out on a third strike. Then upon leaving the batters box tossed his bat towards the on deck circle.  He was ejected immediately by Rick Tiek field ump.


5/22/06 38+ Sharks’ player Gil Gross at Shaw Park continued protest with field ump Dave Kanesky about a call after being surrounded by 3 or 4 Sharks players.  Order was restored but then Gross started up again from the dugout after a warning to cease.  He was ejected for calling ump a name.


5/7/06 28+ Diamondbacks’ player Patrick Englert at Ozzies continued a verbal & abusive attack against teammate after being told to stop by field ump Kevin Wilke.  He did eject him.


4/21/06 Monarchs’ Jarrod Brissenden was ejected in the bottom 6th.   After swinging at strike 3 he had some words with plate ump (Patrick Hensley), and on the way to the dugout he threw his bat down at the base of the fence and it rattled off the fence. Field ump (Rick Tiek) ejected immediately.
